March 11, 2009

According to The Pulse of Radio, Texas band FLYLEAF will hit the road for a series of southern headlining dates beginning on April 28 in their home state, with two festival appearances before that. The group is currently wrapping up work on its yet-to-be-titled sophomore album, which is expected to come out later this year. The dates are (subject to change):

Mar. 28 - Clearwater, FL - Realfest
Apr. 04 - Oklahoma City, OK - Ford Center
Apr. 28 - College Station, TX - Hurricane Harry's
Apr. 30 - Tyler, TX - Click's
May 04 - New Orleans, LA - House of Blues
May 05 - Mobile, AL - Soul Kitchen
May 06 - Fort Walton Beach, FL - The Swamp
May 09 - North Myrtle Beach, SC - House of Blues
May 11 - Charleston, SC - The Music Farm
May 12 - Charlotte, NC - Amos'Southend
May 13 - Asheville, NC - The Orange Peel
May 16 - Columbus, OH - Rock On The Range
May 17 - Louisville, KY - City Block

FLYLEAF's 2005 self-titled debut went platinum after selling more than one million copies. Much of that was due to the band's relentless touring schedule, which kept them on the road for over two years and also took a heavy toll on singer Lacey Mosley's voice.

FLYLEAF's more than two years of touring and promotion for its debut CD included stints with KORN and the Family Values Tour, as well as two rock radio singles, "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive".
